Modern Electronics Company Limited (MECL), a major electronics retailer in Saudi Arabia, recognized that their current platform, while functional, wouldn't support their ambitious growth plans for the next 3-5 years. The leadership team made a strategic decision to invest in building a future-ready digital commerce foundation before they hit growth constraints.


This was a proactive transformation—not a response to crisis, but a calculated investment in long-term competitive advantage. The vision was clear: build a platform that could scale with business growth, adapt to new technologies quickly, and provide exceptional customer experiences across all channels.

The new system uses Adobe Commerce Cloud as the engine, with a fast modern storefront and mobile apps for iPhone and Android. We connected it to their warehouse systems, tax compliance tools, payment providers, and loyalty programs—creating a complete digital ecosystem that works together seamlessly.

The existing platform was adequate for current operations, but the leadership team knew it wouldn't support their 3-5 year growth targets. The business had over 15,000 products and 2 million customer accounts that needed to transition to the new platform. With millions in monthly online sales, the migration had to be executed flawlessly—maintaining full business continuity while upgrading the entire foundation.

The new platform needed to connect seamlessly with SAP ERP for warehouse and inventory management, ZATCA (Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority) for e-invoicing compliance, multiple payment providers, and major loyalty programs including Meza, Niqaty, and Qitaf. More importantly, it needed the flexibility to integrate new systems quickly as the business evolved—without requiring major technical overhauls each time.

We optimized website performance by addressing data overload issues, implementing AWS Elemental Media Services for swift video uploads, and enabling flexible live streaming options.
